AHEAD and the Union of Students in Ireland present the Power of Disability Conference 2022 on 20th and 21st January.
This two-day event will include discussions, presentations and feedback sessions encouraging students with disabilities to be leaders on their own campuses and provide information for students and Students Union officers on the issues facing students with disabilities.
Day 1 will focus on education, with sessions sharing what it’s like to be a postgraduate student with a disability, workshops on disclosing a disability and an interactive session looking at Universal Design for Learning.
Day 2 will focus on empowerment and constructive advocacy and will be completely student-led with all speakers being current students with disabilities.
