Blue Dolphins Special Olympics Club

Blue Dolphins Special Olympics Club Wicklow gives athletes with learning disabilities of all ages the opportunity to train and compete in a variety of Olympic type sports.

Activities include: ALP's, Aquatics, Athletics, Basketball, Bowling, Golf, Motor Activities, Table Tennis.

Friends in Deed is a befriending service for people with learning disabilities. It is a part of Sunbeam House Services.

Mermaid Arts Centre

Mermaid County Wicklow Arts Centre exists to enrich the communities of county Wicklow by encouraging and providing the best artistic experiences as a leading centre for the arts in Ireland.

The centre presents an ambitious programme of performance including innovative dance, spellbinding theatre, cutting edge music and art-house cinema.

Mermaid Arts Centre serves a population of 115,000 people and aims to act as a platform for local artistic groups providing them with a performance space.

Mermaid Arts Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.

Music Together

Based in Greystones, Music Together provides opportunities for people with special needs and physical disabilities, alongside non-disabled participants, to develop skills and ambitions in music and related performing arts.

Workshops

Music Together regularly facilitates workshops. These are designed to be accessible for people with a disability, and to bring out the performer in everyone. The workshops usually take place over several days or a number of weekly sessions and always end in a performance. The students play their own newly composed tunes embracing a rich variety of personal influences.

The workshops are led by qualified professional tutors with a wide experience of public performance plus experience of working with people with physical disabilities. The performances are designed to attain the highest possible standard with the support of the tutors.
