Bray Area Partnership’s new CARA (Care and Repair Action) service carries out small jobs you might not be able to do yourself – for older people and people with disabilities living in the Bray and North Wicklow areas.
Examples of the kind of jobs they can do would be cutting hedges and lawns, minor carpentry, small paint jobs, replacing light bulbs, installing smoke alarms and moving light furniture
The idea is to support you to remain in your own home and live as independently as possible by improving your housing conditions and making your home more comfortable.
CARA staff will first carry out a home visit survey to assess the work that needs doing – all staff are Garda vetted and carry BAP ID cards.
You only have to pay for the materials used – although they do also gratefully accept voluntary donations.
