Living Life Counselling is celebrating its 25th birthday!

The service offers affordable therapy in Bray and Arklow to people who are unemployed, in receipt of benefits or on a low income, with clients paying what they can afford.

More than 250 people a week are currently attending counselling sessions, with issues such as addictions, crime victimisation, stress, anxiety, loss, abuse, depression, eating disorders, relationships and suicidal thinking. This is made possible by the more than 80 professional counsellors who provide their time free of charge.

Living Life CEO, Kirsty Kirkwood, estimates that the service has helped more than 16,000 people since its set-up in Bray in September 1996 by Heather Brown, Sr. Christina Goodman and Rev Stewart Morris. They are still operating from their first premises on Eglington Road, provided by the Methodist Church, and opened a second office in Arklow in 2004.

The service is open from 8.30am-9.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am-5pm on Fridays, with an additional Saturday morning service in Bray.
