Independent Living Movement Ireland (ILMI) invite you to their webinar “Everything you wanted to know about disability but were afraid to ask!” via Zoom at 3pm on Wednesday 5th May (European Day of Independent Living).
- Learn about the social model of disability
- Hear disabled activists discuss the use of language and role of Disabled Person’s Organisations (DPOs), and how the social model can inform implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities
Minister of State Department of Children, Disability, Equality and Integration with responsibility for Disability, Anne Rabbitte TD, will open the webinar.
MC will be Peter Kearns. Short input from special guest Speaker, Maggie Cameron, freelance Disability Equality & Diversity Trainer with experience of developing Disabled Persons Organisations in Scotland.
A facilitated panel discussion will feature disabled activists Des Kenny, Selina Bonnie, Amy Hassett and Maggie Cameron.
