A new employment initiative for people with disabilities will be opening its doors soon in the North Wicklow area and is currently recruiting for staff – including a Coordinator, two STEPS workers and an Administrative Worker.
The IMPACT Initiative has been developed by a consortium of local organisations, led by Bray Area Partnership, who were successful in securing funding from the Dormant Accounts Fund.
The initiative will work with people with disabilities to support them to achieve sustainable employment, become self-employed or progress in their careers.
IMPACT will start to deliver services from the end of December 2021 and will provide person-centred supports such as training, competency-building, mentoring and in-work supports to people with disabilities in the Bray and North Wicklow areas – working in collaboration with local employers.
