Education and training

Here, you'll find entries on pre-schools, primary schools and secondary schools, mainstream and special. We have also listed some education supports and further education and training opportunities for people with disabilities.

Further education

  • The NCSE has produced a useful guide: Planning for Life After School - you can download it here

  • Ready, Steady, Go! is a guide to further education options in Bray for people with an intellectual or learning disability. It was written with advice and input from young adults with intellectual and learning disabilities. Remember that courses and options may have changed since we wrote the guide, so check directly with the people providing the course to make sure they are still offering it. View guide here.

  • The HSE Rehabilitative training and guidance service offers advice and guidance to people with disabilities aged over 16 years who are thinking about rehabilitative training or day services. You will be seen on a one-to-one basis and the support and information you receive is confidential.
