National Disability Databases

Once your child is diagnosed with a disability, it is important to register them with the relevant National Disability Database.

There are two databases:

National Intellectual Disability Database

National Physical and Sensory Disability Database

These databases are managed by the Health Research Board. They aim to give a comprehensive and accurate information base for planning specialised health and personal social services for people with intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities.
